1. Scope and principles

This policy covers Baro Tool calculators and utilities, guides, the visitor counter, advertising, and the suggestion form. We process information only as needed to operate the service and do not directly sell user personal data.

“Browser processed” means the source text or file entered into a calculator or converter is not sent to and stored on a Baro Tool server. Usage information such as visited pages and device or browser details may still be processed separately by the analytics, advertising, and hosting services described below.

2. Information, purpose, and retention

ActivityInformation that may be processedPurpose and retention
Calculators and convertersEntered text, SQL, JSON, CSV, selected images or PDFs, and resultsProvide the function in the current browser. Source files and results are not stored on Baro Tool servers
Visitor counterThe counted date in browser storage and a daily aggregate numberReduce duplicate counts and display visits. Daily aggregates remain cumulative
Favorites and recently used toolsUp to 24 favorite tool identifiers and six recently used tool identifiersStored only in this browser until removed from My tools or cleared with browser site data
Google Analytics 4Visited pages and time, referral, events, browser and device information, approximate region, and cookie or device-related informationAnalyze and improve usage. User- and event-level data is managed within a property setting of up to 14 months
Tool suggestionsThe suggestion and any contact details voluntarily entered in Google FormsReview suggestions and respond to inquiries. Delete after the purpose ends, or retain for up to one year when needed
Access and security logsHosting and security infrastructure may process IP address, access time, request URL, user agent, and error recordsDeliver and secure the service and resolve incidents. Retention follows the provider’s security and logging policy

Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Hosting and security access logs are separate from GA4.

3. Content entered into tools

Favorites and recent history store tool identifiers only, not inputs or files. They do not sync between browsers or devices. If browser storage is unavailable, choices may last only in the current tab.

To improve tools, we may send the tool identifier, interface language, and open, use, copy, download-request, and selected processing-success or error events to Google Analytics. These events exclude input amounts or text, file names or contents, calculated results, and error messages. A download request does not confirm that a file was saved.

Unless a tool specifically states otherwise, text, numbers, images, and PDFs selected in a tool are processed inside the current browser. Temporary state may disappear when you refresh or close the tab. Baro Tool does not send the source content, file, or result to its server for storage.

Files you save using the browser’s download function remain on your device and in the location you selected. Avoid processing sensitive material on a shared device and manage downloaded files directly.

4. Visitor counter

To reduce duplicate counting, localStorage records whether the current day’s visit was counted. The cumulative counter uses 841 Google Analytics “total users” through August 31, 2026 as a baseline, then adds daily visits from September 1, 2026 onward.

The counter database stores daily aggregate numbers only. It does not associate those aggregates with a name, contact detail, IP address, or browser identifier. Clearing browser storage or using a different device or browser can create a new count, so this number is an estimate rather than a unique-person census.

5. Cookies, local storage, and controls

The visitor counter, favorites, and recent history use localStorage. Third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Kakao AdFit may use cookies or similar technologies for service delivery, measurement, ad frequency, or personalized advertising.

  • You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
  • Deleting localStorage removes favorites, recent history, and the visitor counter’s current-day record.
  • You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-party advertising providers, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to Baro Tool or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using visits to this website and other sites on the Internet.

You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also manage interest-based advertising choices for some third-party providers through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s WebChoices. These choices do not remove all advertising, and their scope can vary by browser, device, and provider.

Most calculators remain available when cookies are restricted, but ads, analytics, and some convenience features may not work as expected.

6. Advertising and affiliate links

Baro Tool uses Kakao AdFit and may include or display Google AdSense after approval. Advertising providers may process cookies, device details, and advertising interaction data under their own policies.

Some tools display Coupang Partners affiliate links. Baro Tool may receive a commission if a qualifying purchase follows a click. Baro Tool does not directly receive or store the purchaser’s name, address, or payment details entered at Coupang.

7. External services and international processing

These providers may process information in Korea or other countries according to their infrastructure and policies.

8. Retention and deletion

Baro Tool does not retain tool input processed only in your browser. Personal information included in a suggestion is deleted after its purpose ends, or within one year when inquiry verification or dispute handling is necessary. Daily visitor totals may remain as non-identifying aggregate statistics.

Analytics, advertising, and hosting providers apply their own settings and retention policies. Information may be separated and retained for a legally required period if a preservation obligation applies.

9. Your rights and contact

You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction concerning your personal information. Tool input that Baro Tool never receives must be deleted from your browser or device. Information held by an external provider may also be managed through that provider’s controls.

10. Safeguards and children’s information

Baro Tool processes tool input in the browser where possible, separates aggregates from source content, and applies reasonable measures including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access restrictions.

We do not require a child’s personal information to use the service. Do not enter a child’s or another person’s personal information in a suggestion or free-text field.

11. Complaints and policy updates

Korean privacy inquiries can be directed to the KISA Privacy Infringement Report Center (118) or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (+82-1833-6972).

We update this page and its effective date when site functionality or related policies change. Important changes may be announced on the website before they take effect. This policy refers to the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission’s April 2026 privacy-policy guidance.
