INSERT SQL Generator

Convert CSV or a table pasted from Excel into INSERT statements, with control over leading zeros, value types, and empty cells.

Header row required · up to 5,000 data rows, 100 columns, and 1,000,000 characters

Value type by column

2 rows · 4 columns · Comma delimited

Auto keeps leading zeros, long numbers, and quoted values as text. Text columns also keep the word NULL.

Identify text columns before generating

  1. Paste a table with headers

    Put column names in the first row and enter the table name. Choose automatic delimiter detection, comma, or tab.

  2. Set each column’s value type

    Auto preserves leading-zero codes, long numbers, and quoted cells as text. Choose Text explicitly for identifiers or date strings when appropriate.

  3. Check blanks and NULL

    Choose NULL or an empty string for empty cells and review the unquoted NULL option. Generate SQL, then check column order and values before copying.

Preserve a product code’s leading zeros

Start with
Table: PRODUCT · CSV: code,qty then 00123,2 · column types: Auto
Check the result
INSERT INTO PRODUCT (code, qty) VALUES ('00123', 2);

The code is quoted as text and the quantity remains numeric. The actual output has a line break before VALUES.
