How to inspect
Black reveals bright/stuck pixels, white reveals dark pixels, and RGB screens reveal subpixel color faults. Grayscale and gradients help reveal banding and uneven brightness.
Visual display check
Choose a background that makes the spot easier to see
Start with black and white
Look for bright points on black and dark points on white. First rule out dust and reflections.
Compare red, green, and blue
Switch through the solid colors and check whether the same point differs from its surroundings. Click the pattern for full screen.
Inspect the gradients
Look for bands and uneven brightness in grayscale and color transitions. Press Esc to leave full screen.
