Convert measurements
Choose the type, from length to temperature
For lengths and weights
Choose Length or Weight, select the unit you have and enter the amount. Equivalent units, such as metres and inches or kg and lb, appear together.
For temperatures
Use Temperature and choose Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin as the input unit. Temperature uses an offset as well as scaling, so the base unit matters.
For areas, speeds and volumes
Use the corresponding tab for floor area, travel speed or capacity. Copy a result from its card when you need the number in another document.
A worked example
Convert metres to smaller units
- Start with
- Length / 1 / m
- Check the result
- 100 cm, 1,000 mm and 0.001 km
These describe the same length as one metre. Check the unit label on the card you want to use.
