VAT = net amount × rate, rounded to whole won.
The default 10% refers to standard Korean VAT. Both language versions use KRW and whole-won rounding. Check your document's rounding rules. This does not calculate tax payable, input credits, or simplified-taxpayer returns. NTS rate information

How to use VAT Calculator
Calculate Korean-won net amounts, VAT, and gross totals with quantities, discounts, custom rates, and whole-won rounding. Paste multiple rows and copy an Excel-ready table with totals.
Three-step workflow
- 1
Choose single or batch input, then select tax-exclusive or tax-inclusive amounts.
- 2
Enter unit price, quantity, and rate. For a batch, paste amount or amount-and-quantity columns from Excel without headers.
- 3
Review net amounts, VAT, totals, and rounding differences. Copy a summary or an Excel-ready table.
What to enter and check
All amounts use whole Korean won. Rates and percentage discounts accept two decimals. Multiply price by quantity, apply the discount, then round the discounted amount to whole won. Fixed discounts apply once per row. The limit is 500 rows, each up to 1 trillion KRW before discount.
Exclusive mode rounds net × rate. Inclusive mode rounds gross ÷ (1 + rate) first and calculates VAT as gross minus net. Rounding per row may differ from splitting the combined discounted amounts once. Enter an invoice total in the optional verification field to see any discrepancy.
A net amount of 100,000 KRW at 10% gives VAT of 10,000 and a gross total of 110,000 KRW. Extracting VAT from 110,000 gives the same split. A net unit price of 50,000 × 2 with a 10% discount gives net 90,000, VAT 9,000, and gross 99,000 KRW.
Before you use the result
- Gross-price calculations round the net amount first and allocate the remainder to VAT.
- This tool splits transaction amounts, not tax returns. Check your document's tax rate and rounding rules.
