Start with a fictional four-page document
Download four-pages.pdf from Reference material below to reproduce this walkthrough without using personal information. Every page has a PAGE 1–4 label and a fictional cover, body, or appendix label.
Use the positions inside the PDF, not printed page labels. Page 3 is smaller than the others and page 4 has a 90-degree rotation so you can also compare dimensions and orientation.

Merge one cover page and three body pages
Download 01-cover.pdf and 02-body.pdf from Reference material. Choose Merge PDFs, select both files, and use ↑ or ↓ so the cover is above the body. The displayed order determines the result, regardless of filenames.
Run Merge PDFs, then Download PDF. Open barotool-merged.pdf and check for four pages labeled PAGE 1 → PAGE 2 → PAGE 3 → PAGE 4. Reversing the file list instead produces PAGE 2 → PAGE 3 → PAGE 4 → PAGE 1. Merging does not rearrange the pages inside either input file.

Extract 1,3-4 to omit the second page
Choose Extract pages and load four-pages.pdf. Enter 1,3-4 and run Extract pages. The downloaded four-pages-pages.pdf contains original pages 1, 3, and 4. Both ends of a range are included.
The tool preserves the entered order and includes duplicate pages only at their first occurrence. Entering 3,1,3 produces two pages in order 3 → 1. Empty input, 0, 5, and 4-2 are invalid for this four-page document. Use commas and hyphens, and check ranges against the actual page count.

Reorder the preview to 3 → 1 → 4
Choose Reorder pages and reopen the original four-pages.pdf. Drag the Original page 3 handle to the start, or click Previous twice. The sequence becomes 3 → 1 → 2 → 4. Delete Original page 2 to leave 3 → 1 → 4. Distinguish a card's new position from its original page number.
Click Create reordered PDF, then Download PDF to save four-pages-reordered.pdf. Deletion only omits a page from the new output. Restore original brings back all four source pages. Reverse order reverses only the pages currently remaining.
Changing the arrangement or extraction range disables the previous download; create or extract again before saving. Reordering accepts one PDF up to 50 MB and 300 pages. The final remaining page cannot be deleted.
Reopen and compare the saved files
The reordered output should have three pages labeled PAGE 3 → PAGE 1 → PAGE 4; the original still has four pages. This sample contains searchable text, so try searching for or copying PAGE 3. Compare the smaller page and the rotated appendix with the originals.
On October 2, 2026, these sample files were merged, extracted, and reordered through the export logic and reopened to check page count, content order, searchable text, dimensions, and rotation. This is a test of these ordinary text-based samples, not every PDF feature or device. The tool does not perform OCR on scanned images.

Understand preservation and privacy limits
Pages are copied into a new PDF. Signature validity, interactive forms, bookmarks, comments, attachments, accessibility tags, and other document-level features are not guaranteed to survive. The practice files have no signatures, forms, or bookmarks, so those features were not tested. Keep originals and use dedicated PDF software and the recipient's requirements for signed or official documents.
This tool does not remove PDF passwords. If a protected file cannot open, verify your editing rights and use the legitimate unlocking process. A normal-looking preview does not establish signature validity or form functionality.
PDF processing happens in the browser without uploading the file content. This does not mean the site makes no network requests or collects no general usage statistics. Follow your organization's rules for sensitive files and inspect downloads and recent-file records on shared computers. Deleting pages is not a guarantee of complete document sanitization or redaction.
