Set the ratio and zoom to choose what remains

  1. Choose an image and ratio

    Load a photo and select 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 or its original ratio. Start with 1:1 when you need a square profile image.

  2. Zoom to remove more edges

    Move zoom between 1× and 3× to narrow the area. The centre does not move, so inspect the result carefully if the subject is off-centre.

  3. Check the saved region

    Compare the original and cropped previews for clipped faces, text or product edges. Save PNG when the framing is right.

A worked example

Turn a landscape photo into a square

Start with
1,200 × 800 px image / 1:1 / 1.0× zoom
Check the result
Save the central 800 × 800 px region as PNG.

This removes 200 px from each side. Increasing zoom reduces the source area used in the output.
